Goabaone Mogwe
Goabaone Mogwe is a Botswana-based technology entrepreneur, creative director, and visionary storyteller, best known as the Founder and CEO of Tecboe (Pty) Ltd - a multidisciplinary company at the intersection of software engineering, education, and digital storytelling.
With a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of East London, Goabaone has built a reputation for developing innovative, scalable solutions that address real-world challenges across Africa and beyond. His work spans multiple domains, including education technology, enterprise software systems, and creative media production.
He is the architect behind Ithute, a next-generation digital learning platform designed to transform basic education across Africa. Ithute integrates curriculum-aligned content, AI-assisted tutoring, multilingual learning (including English, Setswana, French, Mandarin, Sign Language, and Braille), and powerful school management tools - creating an inclusive ecosystem for students, teachers, and parents. Under his leadership, the platform is positioned to compete on a global scale while remaining deeply rooted in African contexts.
Beyond education, Goabaone has led the development of several impactful digital products, including Libapp, a modern library management system, and enterprise-grade solutions tailored for institutions and businesses. Through Tecboe’s Software Studio, he continues to drive innovation in custom software development, consultancy, and digital transformation.
As a creative, Goabaone is also an accomplished storytelling artist, working across illustration, animation, and narrative design. He is currently developing “Birthryte”, a bold comic series that explores the clash between African magic and modern technology, reflecting his passion for culturally grounded, globally exportable stories.
In addition to his entrepreneurial work, he serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Botswana Accountancy College Alumni Association, where he contributes to alumni engagement and youth empowerment initiatives.
